Phase 1 of the Library Renovation Project Completed

Phase I of the library renovation project is complete. This project idea was brought to us by a student who wanted to create a more welcoming and comfortable environment for students to study. Phase 1 included new high and low tables, more comfortable chairs, soft seating areas for groups and individual studies and recharging stations. The second phase will include purchasing additional furniture, artwork, power cords and chargers and carpet repairs.

The Foundation Approves $25,000 in Grants

This week the CVHS Foundation approved just over $25,000 in grants for CVHS. Grant requests approved include:

35 Chromebooks and cart for school wide use
5 Chromebooks and chargers for Special Education department
25 graphing calculators for math department
5 graphing calculators for the library so students can check them out to do homework
2 cameras for digital fine arts class
2 Cameras for yearbook and newspaper classes
Spike balls and yoga equipment for PE department
16 electrophoresis units for biology department (final approval pending)

Unfortunately, we received many more requests that we could not fulfill. If you would like to make a donation to the Foundation to help us provide grants like these, please visit our website. Donations can be made online through PayPal or you can mail a check to the school.
